Diabetes Diets: Easy ways to organize diabetes based diets
Regardless of what is in your diabetic diet resources, you have to be cognizant of your blood sugar levels. That is no easy task, as I can attest to even during a short stint as being classified with pre-diabetes. So what can we do to keep them under control and still have an abundant life? We’ll take an organized, enjoyable, and disciple approach – actually we will take one of each!
Have you ever had those moments where you sat there and said “I really just cannot do this today”? We all have, and that little thought can actually make whatever tasks you are trying to achieve that much more difficult! Picture “The Little Engine That Could” story and really grasp the parable. The train faced an insurmountable challenge and could have folded then and there, but it didn’t! The more we tell ourselves something, whether it be positive or negative, we eventually start to believe it. Have you ever heard of someone who defies something so adamantly they are said to “believe their own lie”? I rest my case.
Eat a variety of fruit and veggies! Adding to your diabetic diet resources is much more fun and easy than trying to stay away from things. Think of the positive aspect, how many new and healthy colored foods can you eat today? You wil find sticking to a diet is far easier with that mental approach!
I do not know about you, however planning has always been my downfall. It was tedious, boring, and extremely inconvenient. Half the time I’d forget I was attempting to remain organized! Keep a journal near your desk or check book. That could also be another way to curb your appetite, realize how many bills you have to pay! That was a joke, but seriously you’re already in “business mode” and you can analyze your diet, physical activities, blood sugar, fasting sugars, or whatever else you write down.
